Better than the zeiss conquest 8×42 I’m a wildlife viewer. I used to own the vortex diamondback. Good binoculars but wanted more. So I got the viper. Very glad I did. great glasses. A world apart from the diamondbacks. Definitely worth every cent. I’ve watched birds, mammals, and enjoyed every moment.
I like the lens caps and rain cover I got these binoculars to replace some Pentax 8×42’s. First impressions are that they are very well made. I like the lens caps and rain cover. I like the case. The ergonomics are excellent. Holding them steady is a bit tough. Having a rest is much better. I did get the tripod adapter just for this. In low light these bino’s aren’t that great at bringing in light. They’re not horrible, but I expected better. The focal plane is rather short on these bino’s as well. The focus is smooth, and I like that. I just don’t like having to constantly refocus to look at objects at different distances. Their weight is very light for 15×50 binos. That’s very good as I use them for hunting, and have them around my neck for several hours during a hunt. They’re not much larger than my old Pentax 8×42’s. Overall, I think they’re…
