BE FOREWARNED – Does not fit or work with the Vortex Diamondback 10×50 binoculars!!!! Otherwise, a good adapter. 🙂 I bought the as a (somewhat less expensive) backup to my Leupold 10×42 binoculars. I ended up liking the Vortex glass ever-so-slightly better than the Leupolds, so the Diamondbacks became my preferred binos even though they’re heavier. In fact, I liked the quality and price point SO much, I ended up buying other Vortex products (the and the ).

WARNING: THAT ELK WONT BE THERE BY THE TIME YOU DETACH THIS MOUNT I am impressed that such a reputable manufacturer such as Vortex would allow for a product to go to market with such a difficult use and such a low build quality. The stand does balance the Diamondback 10×50 binoculars I’m using front to back axis but I am unable to twist the attachment to the Binoculars without several minutes of fussing around flexing them at different angles so that I could sufficiently attach them to tripod. When attached to the mount the binoculars still move side to side loosely and it is not possible to get a secure fassen on them as they flop from one side to the other. While Elk hunting in the field I had this piece fall apart a number of times, with the black plastic o-ring falling into 5 inch deep snow, and by the end of the week I was highly disappointed with this purchase for it lack or partical application. Vortex must add a better job of providing a longer or more practical way to attach this mount to a pair of Binoculars.
