Solid Outer Texture Which Catches on Clothing… Bought these grips because of the high ratings. A few people marked it down for failing on them in severe weather (heat). I use this for work and applied it to my M&P exactly as described. Ran it through multiple heatings with a blow drier and all was well. Let it sit for a while to settle itself while constantly giving it a little pressure to stay glued on.
Provides a no slip grip I’ve been using Talon grip tape since ’04. When put on correctly it will last about 2 years before I have to replace it. The granulated texture is very grippy. It will wear holes in your shirts and jackets, even when worn exposed on a gun belt like a police officer. I can’t imagine what it would do trying to wear it concealed, for that I would suggest using the Talon rubber grip tape, which I have on my Shield and love it. As a police officer I am exposed to all extremes of the elements and the Talon grip tape has held up. It provides the no slip grip I need.
Well designed. The grip tape went on the gun as the directions said, no problems. The fit is pretty good. The improvement on the gun’s grip is just what I was hoping for. I had wondered about how it would fit the grip, given that there are three different grips sizes one could employ on the M&P 40. The tape grip is designed so that it is easily trimmed with short, straight cuts to fit the chosen grip size. There are lines marked on the backing paper of the grip for each size. It works well.Once on, the grips are grippy, not exceedingly so such that the grip catches on clothing, but so that I get a good grip on the gun.
