Believe the Chroma Pop Hype This review is for a pair of Smith Outliers, in Black, with Chroma Pop Polarized Grey-Green lenses. I previously owned the same pair, but without chroma pop. I had to return that pair due to some strange cracking/streaking in the lens coating (I now know it was a de-lamination). I opted for chroma pop this time around and was VERY glad that I did.

Comfortable, well made and great lenses I’ve been wearing the whiskey outlier glasses for about a month now and I am really happy with them. They look and feel well made, solid and light. I like that they don’t have metal hinges but the earpieces snap into a solid plastic hinge, I think it will be more durable. The rubber on the bridge of your nose and at your ears is soft and grippy, works well to keep these in place. Because of the polarization and lighter tint of the lenses I can wear these in low light or shadowy conditions without constantly removing and replacing them. For my style they are also very versatile. The don’t have the tight, full coverage that I like on ‘sport’ sunglasses but they protect my eyes well enough for cycling or hiking all day and they still look fashionable when I change into street clothes.
