Don’t Buy Ring Wi-Fi Without Ring Chime Pro! Before I got the Chime Pro, the signal strength on my Ring Wi-Fi was “Poor” to “Good”. Very rare it would be at “Very Good”. Once motion or the Ring button was pressed, there was considerable lag time when talking and video took a long time to load on my iPhone. When video did load, the quality would be choppy. I knew it had to be signal issue so I bought a Chime Pro and once that was installed, the signal strength is now constantly staying at “Very Good” and establishing a video and audio feed are much faster now.
Great purchase I purchased this for the ability to connect with Alexa so my wife would be able to see who was at the door before answering it. As it turns out the initial connection goes to my smart phone creating a lag in time before getting to Alexa. However, the smart phone connection has worked in warning of a delivery for my wife’s birthday while we were in GA for the weekend. I was able to call my neighbor to pick up the package for it’s security. Overall I gave 5 stars but wish it could interface with Alexa better. I did take advantage of the cloud storage which is a great security tool also.
