I wanted a quick and easy way to make hot beverages when out and about I sometimes spend all day outside on the mountain, usually by choice. I wanted a quick and easy way to make hot beverages when out and about.It is perfect for boiling water. Under two minutes for a full pot. The orange heat indicator actually works, its isn’t just a novelty. It also resets very quickly if I empty the boiling water and immediately boil more (if I have company with me). I love it.The only caveat is to make sure that you pick a fuel canister with the correct mixture for the expected temperatures. If it’s too cold then you can have problems with the standard fuel, but we are talking VERY cold. Most people should be fine with an insulated canister cozy. Which is a thing you can buy.
Great product… very happy customers! I bought this for my wife’s birthday… she loves it! She has used it four times now in the backcountry and has raved about it each time. We also have the original black Jetboil and this one is significantly nicer. I especially like the temperature indicator on the outside of the pot… keeps you from having to lift the lid to see if your water is boiling yet. LOVE JETBOIL!!!
