This pack is an all-terrain hero. The L.U.X.E. carries enough gear for a full day of mountain biking, with a narrow-gauge design that lets your focus on the ride, not your pack. The 3 liter reservoir holds enough water for rides of 3+ hours, and the pack offers extra storage for anything the trail might throw at you (or your bike): keys, helmet, a layer, lunch and bike tools. The ventilated back panels keep air moving over your back, and the removable waist belt keeps everything in place during bumpy rides. Thanks to the women’s-specific design features contoured shoulder straps that fit comfortably on your chest without chafing, and the shorter pack length offers a better ergonomic fit.

Great pack! I wish Camelbak would find a way to ensure that the adjustable pulls on the arm straps wouldn’t rest directly under your arm. I use this for running and CONSTANTLY get chafe marks on my bicep area because of the rubbing. I also wish the tube lock was a little further down so that there wasn’t so much extra hose bouncing around (I usually just tuck it under to fix it, but moving the lock a few inches down would be helpful!)Other than that, I love the bladder capacity and how much easier the bladder is to open than my Charm! I also like the storage capacity and the reflective areas. It’s winter and I’m marathon training, so the extra storage capacity has really come in handy for carrying fuel, chapstick, gloves, removable arm warmers, and extra hair ties. Overall, I’m pretty thrilled with my purchase!
Just Right I used this hydration pack for hiking at Glacier National Park. It served its purpose well. It provided enough water for my hikes-our longest took six hours. The weight wasn’t bothersome and it had enough storage space for me to bring my phone and some other smaller necessities like keys, sunscreen, snacks, etc. It’s not a lot of storage but was enough for what I needed. It would not fit larger items like a jacket, but I could have rolled a thinner rain jacket or sweatshirt and stuffed it in between the pocket and the bag. Overall it felt just right for me and my needs. For reference, I am 5’2″ 110 lbs.
