How did I live without this? This tool is indispensable. I can’t beat the story from the guy who cut up an entire car with this saw (love to know that story), but I have used it many, many times for over a year and now just bring it with me on almost any job. I wish there were a way it could cut flush, but that is the only limitation I have encountered–and no recipro saw will do that. The motor housing also has resticted my ability to access something, but that is rare.I have used it with the compact battery, and that usually does not present any problem since I don’t use it as a primary tool. Occasionally, I have had to use a compact battery off of one of my other Milwaukee tools if I have a lot of cuts to make.

Plain and simple: Great tool. This saw is great so far. I’ve been using it nearly every day for 6 months and haven’t had any major issues. The chuck to release the blade gets a little hard to turn, but a good cleaning and lubricating spray keeps it free. Don’t bother with the 12 V if you’re in the trades. I routinely cut different sized unistrut, and all types of conduit up to 4 inches and this thing paired with Lenox blades is a great marriage. I even use this to cut 2×4’s when in a pinch. I would recommend this for anyone that needs a small sawzall.
