Pelican 1170 fits 1911s This product has served me well. I have used it to travel via airlines around the states. After declaring the firearms and going through the TSA checks, I just put a lock on it and put it in my checked luggage.Used the pick n pluck foam to fit 1911s without rails up to 5.75″ in barrel length. Essentially this case can fit a full size 1911 or smaller. I have attached pictures of my Ruger SR1911 Commander. The case is sturdy and has double throw latches. Overall, great quality for the price.
Great! I got this for flying across country. It meets all TSA regulations and its a tough case. Actually it’s the best. I have my glock 23 gen4 with two mags in it perfectly but can fit another one in there making it 3 mags.
Nice case, but the picture is misleading Nice case, but the picture is misleading. The foam is pre-cut and has removable sections at the end of the barrel and near the hammer. There is only room for one pistol and one magazine (not two as the lead product photo shows). Other than that, I love the case.
