Great pack! Especially good for heavy loads. Great pack! It’s heavy (about 8 lb), but totally worth it if you are going to be carrying a heavy load anyways. My pack usually ranges from 30 to 50 pounds (I know…), and this pack makes it ridiculously comfortable and easy. I lived out of this for a three month backpacking trip (carrying full kitchen ingredients) and have no complaints. You can adjust the pack to put the weight where it is most comfortable to you. I usually started the weeks with the weight focused on my mid back and moved it around if I started to get achy at all.
Backpacker’s Dream Love this bag! I did research and then went to REI to try the top rated backpacks of the year. I tried them all with the sandbags and pillows REI provides to fill the pack properly. This was by far my favorite. I just got back from a three week trip in Central America – it was perfect. I walked over an hour carrying 45+ pounds and it was super comfy. Gregory has the best hip belts/pads – great for my large, wide hips.
